Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.50 oz pectin (to help preserve jam and make it jelly-like)

Method

Take a pot and add all the raspberries to it with the sugar. Now add half a cup of water to help the sugar dissolve and to help heat the raspberries. Cook on a slow flame until all the sugar is dissolved. Now gently mash the raspberries, but don’t over-mash. Bit chunky raspberries taste good. Once the raspberries become soft and mashed. Add lemon juice and pectin and cook until the jam becomes thick and there’s no water on the sides of the pot.
