How to Make Green Fried Tomatoes – Crunchy and Delicious

Ingredients

  • 4-5 green tomatoes cut into rounds about 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp spoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • vegetable oil to fry

Method

First of all, we will take a bowl and add in flour with all the spices and salt in it, and then we will mix it well.In a separate bowl, we will add buttermilk. Now we will take a skillet and add one cup of oil to it and turn the flame to medium-low. Now we will dip our tomatoes in buttermilk and then coat them with the flour mixture well, and add them to the frying pan one by one. Now we will wait to cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes before turning it upside down.

When both sides are done, we will take our tomatoes out and place them on a napkin to allow the excess oil to drain. Now we will serve them with any sauce you like. Most preferably, they tastes better with ranch or Sriracha sauce.
